Through our journey in Surprise Land, we every-so-often get the good fortune of stumbling upon a person, project, or idea where we see our own spirit reflected. The souls that seek adventure and wonder in this world. The people that dare to step into unknown territory, jumping into mysterious waters with the faith that they'll find jewels.

The Year of 52 Adventures is a campaign to encourage you to commit yourself to 52 adventures (1 per week) in the year 2010. Through innovation, exploration, community and risk-taking we aim to combat the mundane of everyday life and live affirmatively. We know there's a little adventure in you. We know there's a lot. Brooklyn Brainery hosts collaborative learning classes. What's that mean? Think book clubs on steroids. It's a place to experiment with all the things you've wanted to learn but just haven't.
Daily Mission Project
"I am in danger of becoming really boring..." That is the first line of a letter that I have been distributing to friends and strangers, asking them to give me one Mission to complete on a randomly selected day of 2010. I have asked for their one hour Mission to inspire me to change my perspective and try new things. No Mission is revealed to me until the day it is to be completed. Each morning I select and open and envelope/email attachment to find out what the Mission of the day will be.
